With over 25 years of experience in television, radio and digital media, I know production processes in different contexts – from classic programme production to cross-platform, digital formats.
A key focus of my work to date has been on designing technological structures and production environments that function reliably, even under changing conditions – efficiently, scalably, and adaptable to new requirements.
This particularly concerns the further development of processes: How can workflows be simplified, standards established, and new technologies integrated sensibly without hindering creative work?
In addition to my work in the media industry, music is a central part of my creative process. As a composer, I develop soundtracks for documentaries and film projects.
In photography, I focus on timelapse and hyperlapse to visualise time, movement and atmosphere.
I grew up in Hamburg and spent many years in London and Berlin. Today I live and work in Potsdam.
Media Practice
Extensive experience in television, radio, and digital formats – particularly in live situations and under tight deadlines.
I have learned production processes from scratch and developed them over many years in various roles – from operational positions to cross-functional management, organisation, and responsibility.
So, I was involved in productions in various contexts, from large live events such as the German Radio Award and the Eurovision Song Contest preliminary round, to news work at the ARD Studio London. There, my area of responsibility encompassed the entire production organisation and management – from ensuring ongoing operations to the short-term implementation of complex and critical reporting situations for the entire reporting region of Great Britain and Ireland.
A particular focus was placed on the further development of production formats: from classic linear formats to interactive live formats on platforms such as Twitch, TikTok and YouTube.
As the industry has changed, I have consistently pursued this path, transferring my experience from linear production environments to digital and cross-platform formats.
