This video shows a so-called Holy Grail timelapse, in which the transition from day to night is condensed into a single sequence. Light, colours and atmosphere change continuously and make the temporal change visible.
The superimposition of different sections creates layers of different times of day within the same motif. In this way, light moods that normally separate hours from each other meet simultaneously in the picture. Past and present, day and night are superimposed for a moment.
The photograph is a visual observation of time - not as a sequence, but as simultaneity.
