This video shows a time-lapse of the Golden Hour at the Berlin Victory Column. The focus is not only on the change of light and colour, but also on the Continuous camera movement, which results from the use of a slider.
The slow, steady movement lends the motif additional depth and opens up the view of the space. Architecture, sky and light enter into a relationship with each other that goes beyond a static perspective. The time-lapse thus becomes not only a condensation of time, but also a movement through the place.
The shot is a showcase for how controlled camera movement can make a familiar place come alive in a new way - calmly, fluidly and in the light of the sunset.
